Freeform Weekends on HFS – Want To Hear More?

View Comments

If you’ve been listening to HFS on 94.7 HD2 or right here at WHFS.com on the weekends, you’ve no doubt noticed that we open it up and play just about anything. We call it our Freeform Weekends. We’ve been kicking around the idea of letting the Freeform Weekends spill over into weeknights. But before we go and make the call on that, we want to get your input. Check out these polls and let us know what you think. You can even leave your comments below. The more feedback we get, the better.

9-12 is a bad time for my work schedule, but if i was off at that time, i’d listen. I think that it would make everyone happy to keep the alternative/ classic alt format and be able to do the freefrom radio.
I don’t know too many stations that do that anymore..so i’d like it.

Wow, I can’t believe you played “Color Me Gone” for the 1st time since 1990! I’ve always sorely missed the pre-1991 freeform HFS & all the bands & songs that were cast aside when a playlist was adopted in 1991. It’s a great call on your part to bring it back somewhat.

I generally don’t get the chance to listen to the radio between 9/12 mifnight but when I do get the chance listening to freeform radio would great.

What about instead of doing Freeform from 9-midnight having it from 5-7 and calling it the Freeform Drive Home since more people listen to the radio while commuting and would definitely welcome some great music at that time!

freeform weekends are fine but they should stay just on the weekends. i like hearing the regular alternative pretty much every time i want to listen to hfs.

ALSO this is unrelated, but i’m a long-time hfs listener (about 17 years, but have been listening online for the last few since i’m in new orleans) and since i’m listening from out of town i want to be on a commercial! i was on one of those ‘HFS rocks my world” commercials when i was 16 and want to be on a new one!

    anyway have a splendid day.

Like it! Are the playlists posted? Maybe here somewhere and I’ve not found it. Past few months I “tune in” at home on Sat’s (afternoons) with my Sonos. First time today finding the HFS website.
