Everclear Gives Powerful Performance At HFStival

In what was by far the most honest-to-the-gut performance so far, Everclear just wrapped up their set at HFStival 2010. The second song of the set was “Father Of Mine, “ a song about a father deserting his son at just 10 years of age. But this is more than just a song to lead singer Art Alexakis. The father was his and he was that ten-year-old kid. Read more about it here.

As the crowd of several thousand rocked with the pounding percussion, you could feel his lifes pain that is obviously still very real and very much there today. Fortunately for us, and Art himself, he is able to hopefully at least somewhat deal with it while allowing us a peak behind his private curtain.

A powerful performance tonight by [lastfm]Everclear[/lastfm].

    Powerful? He sounded awful.
He completely stopped midway through “AM Radio” because he forgot his own lyrics. He also forgot a few words to two other songs – including Santa Monica!! How is that possible? He was also bitter with his equipment, walked to the side of the stage mid song and chilled there while the tech looked at something. His performance was the most disappointing IMO.

Agreed, I thought he was high as a research monkey.

I agree the word “terrible” pretty much sums up Everclears performance!

Everclear was HORRIBLE! Art’s voice sounded like crap and he messed up the words so many times! What a disappointment. They should have been booed off stage.
