Lady Gaga might not have cleaned up at the GRAMMY Awards in quite the way we predicted, but “Born This Way” has come to dominate the singer’s charts in just a few short days.

Last.fm Trends looks at how quickly it’s shot to the top.

In the last seven days the track has gone from a few live versions getting daily plays to pop behemoth, play counts per day shooting up.

The song peaked on release, slacking off to a still-huge number of plays per day by the time the curtain closed on the GRAMMYs. By contrast, Taylor Swift‘s “Mine” peaked at just 1/10th of the total daily play count back in August.

“Born This Way” really has made a splash, and not just on Lady Gaga’s own catalog. It’s shot straight to the top of the Hype Tracks Chart at Last.fm, showing a listeners growth of 13,981%, building on the audience that live recordings already had.

It’s also hit the number four spot in the weekly Top Tracks Chart. That chart ranks songs by the number of people a song has reached in the last seven days; “Born This Way” grabbed 26,333 in just three days, the top spot taken by Katy Perry‘s “Firework” which was played by 29,356 listeners over a week.

What’s telling though is that while Perry’s song was played 88,238 times by those fans (a little over three times per listener) “Born This Way” scored an epic 549,848, around twenty plays per listener.
