[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Liam Gallagher[/lastfm] and his new post-[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Oasis[/lastfm] band [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beady Eye[/lastfm] have released a cover of a classic [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beatles[/lastfm] song to benefit relief efforts in Japan.

The band recorded a version of “Across The Universe” from the Beatles’ 1970 release Let It Be at the legendary at Abbey Road Studios over the weekend. They performed it live in London Sunday night during a Japan Disaster Benefit concert, and the single is now available for download (they say for a limited time) from Beadyeyemusic.com. All proceeds go to British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.
