On April 19, 1980, Brian Johnson joined [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]AC/DC [/lastfm]and led the band on a long and wildly successful chapter two of their career.

Though he’s one of the best, he’s definitely not the only replacement singer to lead a legendary rock band.

Let’s all be thankful that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jimmy Page[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Joe Perry[/lastfm] didn’t do the unthinkable and add replacements of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Steven Tyler[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Robert Plant[/lastfm] to this list.
