Discover: The Static Jacks Take Us “Into The Sun”

Pop-rock band [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Static Jacks[/lastfm], with their roots based in Westfield and Roselle Park, NJ, stopped off at Discover a few weeks before the release of their debut full-length album If You’re Young.

The album was recorded at Stratosphere Sound Recording Studios in NYC (which is owned by Adam Scheslinger, James Iha and Andy Chase), with Chris Shaw handling the production job. During their Discover session, the group gave us a full-band performance as well as a sit-down chat. Featured song “Into the Sun” started as an instrumental demo from guitarist Henry Kaye (which he hated), but after getting passed around to the other guys, the song took shape. Watch “Into the Sun” and then catch the rest of their performance and interview as well.
