Their debut album Treats made a splash in 2010, and now Brooklyn two-piece Sleigh Bells have returned with the aptly-named single “Comeback Kid.” It’s the first from forthcoming sophomore set Reign of Terror, due February 21.
Today Last.fm Trends looks at the duo’s scrobbles as they stand at the start of 2012.
The graph above shows their weekly scrobbles over the past year, ending up at around 38,000 weekly plays on a slight uptick since the new year. Older material has been augmented by album track “Born to Lose,” premiered in December and already pulling in 10,727 scrobbles from 2,136 listeners to place it at #12 on their weekly chart.
“Comeback Kid” should follow suit easily, arriving just before the band embark on a US tour early February to stir up fan excitement for the new album – they’re certainly already talking about it.
