Green Day’s Upcoming Album Includes Song About Having Sex, A First According To Billie Joe
Green Day Live At Verizon Wireless…Wait, so after over two decades of making balls-out emotionally-charged alternative punk rock, Green Day has never written a song about having sex?
Or, at least, those are the claims they are making on a new Youtube video.
According to a front man, Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day’s upcoming album will be the “first time” they have “ever really sung about f**king.”
[pullquote quote=”I think it’s so personal and so voyeuristic. This is the first time we ever really sung about f**king.”]Showing the band working in the studio on the new album (and a hardcore ping-pong sesh), we hear Armstrong’s voice saying, “I think it’s so personal and so voyeuristic. This is the first time we ever really sung about f**king.”
Bassist Mike Dirnt then makes claims, ones we can’t really dispute given their chart-topping track records, that the new material will “blow” fans “f**king minds.”
The newest Green Day song to be released was “Carpe Diem” which they played live last November on their home turf in San Francisco.
Are you excited to hear some new Green Day material about, erm, some good old-fashioned “in-and-out?” (See Armstrong’s photo above for reference if confused.)
