“Given our history with our rabid Mexican fans over the past decades, I couldn’t think of a more appropriate place to unveil our new, sick as f*ck, over the top, out of control stage that will be the cornerstone of our touring escapades for the next years to come,” said Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. “Don’t be scared boys and girls, this is going next level.”

Metallica has deep roots with it’s Mexican fan base. One of the band’s favorite desintaions, they’s sold out five-night stints to over 150,000 fans at the Sports Palace in Mexico City. While touring in support of 2009’s Death Magnetic album, the group sold out three consecutive nights to over 150,000 fans at Foro Sol Stadium.

What’s the new stage going to look like? The colossal structure will feature 140×50-foot stage with striking visual elements spanning Metallica’s entire 30-year career. It’s seems likely that this stage will make its way around the U.S. shortly thereafter.

Met Club pre-sale tickets go on sale on Tuesday, March 20th at 9AM PT and run through Wednesday, March 21st at 6PM Pacific. The public on-sale for these shows will begin Saturday, March 24th at 9AM PT.

The band responsible for selling over 100,000,000 albums worldwide continues it’s mission to deliver more rock and a bigger spectacle to their fans.

Bring it on gentlemen.
