In an interview with drummer Patty Schemel about her documentary, Hit So Hard, the musician went into great detail about her the ins-and-outs of her life and how the documentary was created.

When asked if Hole–Schemel said the band would play a sans-Courtney-Love show on Easter Sunday–would be inviting Love to sing, Schemel said mysteriously, “We extended the invitation to her, but she’s not interested. I think she thinks more in the future tense of what she’s creating from this point on versus what she’s already done.”

Schemel also alluded to a few “surprises,” which proved this week to be the first time the later ’90s-version of Hole famous for Live Through This and Celebrity Skin has played together in fifteen years.

After the New York screening of Schemel’s documentary, the band had an after-party at Brooklyn’s Public Assembly and played their song “Miss World” and the Wipers’ “Over The Edge.

Hole has been trending a lot in music news recently. Guitarist Eric Erlandson is doing publicity for his book, Letters to Kurt, and Love has been the target of some Twitter controversy when she ostensibly blamed Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Nirvana for hitting on her daughter with late-Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain.

19-year-old Frances Bean Cobain responded by saying her “biological” mother should be banned from Twitter.

“While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn,” said Cobain, who switched legal guardianship from her mother to her grandmother and aunt in 2009. “I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother.”
