Fresh from his appearance with Jimmy Cliff at the first weekend for the Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival, Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong is releasing the first episode, “titled “Dante,” and the fourteen song soundtrack of his mystery-laden punk rock musical, Tim Timebomb’s Rock’N'Roll Theater.
In a recent press release, Armstrong told his fans that he would be “stoked” if they purchased Rock’n'Roll Theater for five dollars because the project, which includes Rancid bandmate Lars Frederiksen, is “100% DIY.”
Recently, Rancid streamed their entire musical catalog via their website and reported that they are working on their new album with Bad Religion’s Brett Gurewitz.
“Each album shows us where we’re at in that moment in time,” said Armstrong in an interview. “With the songs and the feelings that we’re experiencing, so it can change a lot in the next couple months.”
