After a seven year hiatus from music, Garbage has returned with a new album and tour. The band stopped by to chat with Live105/San Francisco before hitting the main stage at BFD 2012 about reuniting and getting their swagger back.
“It’s been totally amazing because we didn’t know what was going to happen when we made this album [Not Your Kind of People]. And we put it out and we’re doing these shows that are all sold out. Its been going incredibly well.”
On the tour they’ve been mixing it up between larger festivals and small club show so that they can get back into the swing after such a long break.
Butch Vig explained, “We’re finally getting up to speed. Seven years is a long break. I think we felt the first couple shows were a little shaky. We’re starting to get a little of our swagger back.”
On what is next and if Garbage is here to say the band simply stated, “If we survive the tour … we’ll be around … a lot longer.”
The new record Not Your Kind of People is out now and you can find info on upcoming dates from Garbage at garbage.com.
