The Ball Is In Your Court With New Matt And Kim Video For “Let’s Go”

Last week, Brooklyn’s Matt and Kim teased a new single “Let’s Go” from their forthcoming album Lightning. The sneak peek came in the form of Matt shooting a basketball one-handed and getting nothing but net. A first listen video for the track was released today and it’s a slam dunk. Pun intended, as the couple is sticking with the b-ball theme for the video.

Tagged in for the clip is Pat the Roc, self-proclaimed ball handling virtuoso. Matt and Kim recline on red bleachers as a catchy hook kicks the song off. The shot looks like a still photograph save for the oscillating fan on the opposite side of the gym. Matt chucks a basketball to the camera, in walks Pat the Roc, who dribbles nonchalantly as the synth soaked cutesy song builds. Pat shows off some serious tricks with the bricks, dealing with 3 balls at once by the end of the video.

Pat’s skills almost overshadow the song. Almost, but not quite. The electro-pop duo have managed to incorporate everything they’re known for in “Let’s Go.” It’s a singable earworm with high energy exclamations from Matt and syncopated drum punch lines from Kim.

“Let’s Go” is available on iTunes and Lightning is due out this Fall.
