Linkin Park Plays Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ – Watch “Burn It Down” And “Faint”
To celebrate their release of their latest album, Living Things, Linkin Park not only took over Jimmy’s outdoor stage but they packed in so many fans that they had to project the concert onto a nearby building so more people could see.
Not so well disguised behind the historic theater where Jimmy Kimmel Live! broadcasts, sits a rather large stage where nearly all of today’s important rock acts have played. Situated dead-center in the middle of Hollywood, there’s never a shortage of rabid fans wanting to attend a free show.
Linkin Park took the stage to a hand-clapping, ravenous crowd and performed two songs on camera; the first single from Living Things titled “Burn It down” and “Faint” from 2002’s Meteora.
“Burn It Down”
Chester Bennington explains, “It’s about bringing two established acts who have been, up until this point, headlining our own tours, together under one roof, and to bring our full headlining sets and the full experience of each band to our fans.”
“We’ve run the gamut,” explains Brandon Boyd. “We’ve had our big giant, blown out production on our big U.S. tour all the way down to a stripped down ‘We can’t afford to bring any production cause it’s too far away from home’ tour… which were just as enjoyable, just in different ways.” Boyd continues, “We’ve been floating around in our own little bubbles floating around the rock and roll universe- It seems strange that our band haven’t toured together already. So it’s like, Eh, it’s time, let’s do this!”
