P.O.D. are swinging hard and they aim to beat you over the head once more with their unique brand of Southern California metal.

Sonny Sandoval and crew are poised to release their 8th studio album titled Murdered Love on Tuesday, July 12th. Just two months ago, the band release a 2001 A Space Odyssey-esque video for the album’s first single, “Lost In Forever.”

In “Murdered Love,” director Ramon Boutviseth introduces the audience to a tormented soul dragging an old television through a busy city street via heavy chains. “Don’t forget me, as I step into your glory,” sings Sonny as confused onlookers snap photos of the man while he disconnects himself from the TV and proceeds to remove his shirt, revealing words carved all over his skin. He stands still, rigid, and rail thin. Carved into this chest, clearly visible are the words “The Day They Murdered Love.” The band’s Christian roots find sharp ways of cutting through the music.

Sick Jaken of Psycho Realm makes guest appearance by contributing vocals to the song’s chorus.
