Florence & The Machine are basking in the glow of a #1 single on the British iTunes Top 100 chart. But it’s not dumb luck that it ended up there. Singer and frontwoman Florence Welch has been Tweeting up a storm since the release of Calvin Harris‘ remix of “Spectrum (Say My Name).” The song was leaked by Florence more than a month ago yet was not available for purchase. Upon formal release through iTunes, it blasted up the charts within a week and still holds on to the top spot.
Prompted by a fan tweeting at the singer, Welch recently began commenting on various remixes, both authorized and not. She weighed in on a few worth highlighting, some by high-profile producers.
Thankyou so much!!! NO 1 on ITUNES! You did it! #spectrum #flowsareshining #flowsareshining!
