Some of the bands we feature on the HFS Locals Only Spotlight are well-known veterans of the local music scene, with a ton of shows and music releases under their belt; others are artists who are just getting started and preparing to build their first core base of fans. Tonight’s HFS Locals Only Spotlight artist, Easy Six from Baltimore, is the latter, so we won’t be surprised one bit if they’re totally new to you. They confess that their influences are classic alt-rock bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, and U2…but they also concede that they don’t sound anything like those bands, and in fact, they’ve been told that they “sound like no one else around.” (If we were forced to make a comparison, maybe Belly?) If you want to be one of the first to jump aboard their bandwagon, hook up with them on Facebook or on MySpace.
If you’ve got a local band you’d like us to feature on the HFS Locals Only Spotlight weeknights at 9 PM, here’s how to get your stuff to us.
