Iceland’s Of Monsters And Men have been building the popularity through their folk-pop and a relentless touring schedule. While many songs have been written about the loneliness and hedonism of life the road – see Journey and Mötley Crüe – the “Little Talks” band recently spoke very frankly about how hard it is to live hygienically on the road.
The band admitted its hard to stay clean on the road and they do try to shower as often as possible.
Backstage at Outside Lands 2012, singer/guitarist, Ragnar “Raggi” Þórhallsson admitted, “I have worn this underwear for five days.”
He continued to explain, “Wash ‘N’ Fold is very popular with us.”
Co-singer Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir lamented on life on the road, “We’ve been on the road for a month and a half – something like that. I’ve washed my clothes once. Its like I have a bag of dirty clothes. That’s all I have.”
If you missed the band’s U.S. tour, you’ve blown it. They are heading back to Europe to finish their tour and do a few loads of laundry.
Of Monster And Men’s album “My Head Is An Animal” is out now via Universal.
