Tonight’s HFS Locals Only Spotlight artist is Transistor Radio Show, a project by Ryan Harsha of Washington, D.C. After three years of writing and some help from local musicians, he’s got a rock record he thinks you’ll dig if you’re a fan of Foo Fighters, Dinosaur Jr. or Angels & Airwaves. I have been watching/following this for a week now. From what I am gathering from this mess is:
This guy has pissed people off. WHY does it matter for HFS/Listeners? IT DOES NOT! If you look at the comments there are maybe 10 about the MUSIC!

I like music and I purchase music legally. I dont care if the artist has shop lifted, run around on his wife, or if he met the president of the united states. It makes no difference at ALL. I purchase music because I like the sound of it. I am a loyal HFS guy from the good old days.

All I can say to the KIDS on here is GROW UP! Worry about things that matter in life instead of mindless gossip!

YOU grow up. When that music was funded by money he bilked from unsuspecting, hard working people, it needs to be brought to light. You don’t like it, piss off. Besides, what little I’ve heard of it is comically bad. I wonder if they’ll let him have his Trini Lopez in prison….

Greg…think about all the other bands we’ve featured over the past several months, who have simply attracted a ton of new fans (and little or no controversy)! What you see here is a wild exception to the norm.

Also…pretty soon, we’re going to start yet another thing that will give a lot of local bands (and yes, Radio Lover…solo musicians, too) some great exposure. More on that when we’re ready to unveil it.
