Moody UK rock minimalists the xx have released a stream of the band’s much-anticipated second album, Coexist, with global tracking technology that shows how and where the record has been shared.
Created in collaboration with Microsoft, the global tracker displays the location of users listening to Coexist, and shows which platform was used to share it, including Twitter, Facebook or via email.
The album, featuring the first single, “Angels,” leaked online towards the end of August, and is scheduled for official release on September 11.
The xx kick off the U.S. leg of their current tour on October 6 with a date at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, and includes a stop at the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco on October 14 alongside M83, Girl Talk, Public Enemy and more.
