2012 has been a whirlwind year for Michael Angelakos, the mastermind behind Passion Pit.

With the release of the act’s finely-crafted sophomore album, Gossamer, the band has been on a breakneck pace of touring the world that has included stops at such high-profile music festivals as Outside Lands, Made in America and a show at the legendary Hollywood Bowl alongside dance-poppers Hot Chip. Passion Pit’s music has also invaded pop consciousness with the single “Take a Walk” being used in a Taco Bell TV campaign to mixed reactions from the band’s fans.
