Travis Barker & Yelawolf Are Psycho White. Download Their Debut Single “Push ‘Em!”
At first glance, Travis Barker and Yelawolf look like dudes that have chilled in the same skatepark since they could barely balance on a board. Barker even says that Yelawolf is like his “brother from another mother.”
Both tatted-up and athletically-lanky, the veteran drum thrasher and underground rapper give off the same “ill ass vibe,” as Yelawolf would so aptly say in an interview with CBS Local.
Calling the coupling a “really dope relationship,” Yelawolf said that while the pair didn’t originally plan on making music, the product of their collaborative is “just something special.”
It makes sense that when the pair came together, music between the two was “organically grown.” Barker and Yelawolf harmoniously fused their similar artistic aesthetics, their penchant for what a friend deemed as “psycho whiteboy sh*t,” and their love of musical diversity into an undoubtedly dynamic duo they deemed Psycho White.

As evidenced from the fire that is their free track “Push ‘Em,” Barker and Yelawolf’s self-titled EPis a driving sonic mélange of badass rhythm-based rap-rock that fit together perfectly despite the jagged-edged juxtaposition of sounds.
Psycho White also features cameos from the likes of The Transplants‘ Skinhead Rob and Tim Armstrong, so the five songs will probably prove to be slightly reggae-tinged with a “different vibe,” rather, an “ill mash-up of ideas.”
Psycho White Track List:
- “Push ‘Em” (Ft. Skinhead Rob, Tim Armstrong)
- 6 Feet Underground (Ft. Tim Armstrong)
- Funky Sh*t
- Whistle Dixie
- Director’s Cut
“This is a like a collective of records that we did over the past year and a half that just turned into a project,” explained Yelawolf. “No one was even in the studio except for him and I… which is the way it should be.”
Psycho White‘s self-titled E.P. is due late October or early November through Barker’s Famous Stars & Straps clothing company.
