2012 has been quite the eventful year for emerging bands Passion Pit and Imagine Dragons. For Passion Pit, their second album, Gossamer, has been the catalyst for a whirlwind tour of the world and hit songs like “Take a Walk,” which is currently featured in a high-profile TV ad campaign for Taco Bell.
But for even newer act Imagine Dragons, it’s their full-length debut that’s catapulted them to the top of the “next big thing” heap, culminating in the album Night Visions debuting at Number Two on the Billboard 200 chart, just behind the return of ’90s hit-makers Matchbox 20.
Now, the two bands have come together as one, with Passion Pit putting on their remix hats to deliver a shiny new version of Imagine Dragons’ smash single “It’s Time” into an even more beat-driven slice of empowered pop that takes it right to the heart of the dance floor.
Passion Pit is currently on tour, with dates across America (including multiple stops in Texas and Tennessee) before heading down to Australia to hop on the Parklife Festival tour. Imagine Dragons are on the road with AWOLNATION, set for a September 29 show in Salt Lake City, UT, alongside the Used, Neon Trees and more.
