While the Black Keys are right in the middle of a massive U.S. tour, the band’s drummer Patrick Carney took time out to marry his longtime girlfriend, Emily Ward, in a backyard ceremony at the couple’s Nashville home last Saturday (September 15).

As reported by the Associated Press, actor/Comedian Will Forte (you know – MacGruber!) officiated the wedding in front of about 350 guests, including Carney’s Black Keys bandmate Dan Auerbach. In true rock n roll fashion, Carney walked down the aisle with the couple’s Irish wolfhound, Charlotte.

The newlyweds won’t have much time for a honeymoon, as the Black Keys are scheduled to perform in New York’s Central Park on September 29 as part of the Global Citizen Festival 2012, alongside the likes of the Foo Fighters, Neil Young & Crazy Horse and Band of Horses. That date is followed by a west coast swing which includes two nights at L.A.’s Staples Center on October 5 & 6.
