“lady, even tho u r larger than us, we still cooler than u. plus we don’t have prawns in our private parts.”
The textual assault started to brew after mother monster offered the band a spot opening for her on tour, to which they declined. To ensure the pop diva clearly understood their position, lead vocalist Ninja said “We like making pop music, but we like making hardcore music at the same time, mixing them, but they’ve got, like, soul. It’s not like weak, superficial sh**. You know?”
Die Antwoord, whose name means “The Answer” in Afrikcaans, couldn’t let the Gaga offer go. The band released a new video designed to torment the pop queen.
In “Fatty Boom Boom,” the latest video for the band’s Ten$ion album, a meat dress-clad Lady Gaga impersonator, flanked by private security, finds herself on a guided tour through South Africa’s concrete jungle. After having her attention called to some local artists performing on the street (Die Antwoord) she remarks, “Oh My God, look at that freaky fashion. I should get them to open for me.” Within moments, her bus is ambushed by gun-toting militia. After running for her life, the pop queen ends up in a gynecologist’s office complaining of pain; “First I got hijacked, then there’s something really funny going on down there. I must have picked up something.” Following a great deal of effort and the use of several pair of forceps, the stunned doctor withdraws an ooze-covered… prawn.
Despite her relief of getting rid of the “bug,” the video doesn’t end well for Gaga, who’s met with lion sharing an interest in her meat dress.
during the video, keep an eye out for the painted mural behind the band’s street performance. Close inspection reveals a 7-headed monster featuring the faces of Gaga, Kanye, Nikki Minaj, Pitbull, Lil Wayne, Drake and P Diddy, all topped with devil horns.
“All these rappers sound the same. One big inbred f*** fest,” raps vocalist Yo-Landi Vi$$er.
After learning of the band’s butchering of her character, Gaga tweeted “i fink u freaky but you don’t have a hit. hundred thousand tIckets sold in SA.”
Shortly thereafter, she following up with another tweet saying “i guess its not a good idea to tell someone you’re a fan. never mind! we get it, you’re not a little monster. WE GOT IT.”
The bands counterstrike was launched when they posted the final tweet: “lady… even tho u r ‘larger’ than us… we still cooler than u… plus we don’t have prawns in our private parts.”
