With the long-awaited comeback album from Seattle grunge gods Soundgarden set for release on November 13, the band has announced a series of intimate club shows in L.A., New York and Toronto for the month of November.
Soundgarden fans who want to get in on the action need to preorder the band’s new album, King Animal (available in a myriad of formats, including swanky box set) on their official website before 11:59 PT on November 7. With each preorder comes a password that allows access to a special ticket pre-sale the next day (November 8) at noon local time in each of the respective cities. The shows are happening at Irving Plaza in New York (November 13), the Phoenix in Toronto (November 16) and the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles (November 27).
Be forewarned: the passwords don’t guarantee access to the shows, and only a limited number of tickets will be sold during the special pre-sale. Some tickets will be held for a public on-sale that begins 10am local in each city on Friday, November 9th. But given the relatively tiny capacity for all of these club dates, they will disappear faster than you can say “Satanoscillatemymetallicsonatas” (ask a Soundgarden super-fan).
For the rest of the Soundgarden faithful, the band can be seen performing a Live On Letterman concert webcast on Monday, November 12th that can be seen on CBS.com.
