Trent Reznor And How To Destroy Angels Debut Stirring 7-Minute “Ice Age” Video

Still fresh from recording the theme song for the wildly popular new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 video game, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has debuted the second music video from the latest How to Destroy Angels release, An omen (EP).

The haunting seven-minute clip is for the song “Ice Age,” an immediate EP stand-out with its minimal arrangement of plucked acoustic guitar notes and singer Mariqueen Maandig’s delicate vocals. The accompanying video is appropriately stark, featuring shadowy images of the band performing in a rustic seafront cabin juxtaposed with nostalgic shots from what appear to be old home movies.

The video was directed by John Hillcoat, best known for helming feature films like The Road and music videos for bands including Muse, Depeche Mode and Siouxsie and the Banshees.
