Jack White Unveils Booth Where Fans Can Record Their Own Vinyl

Record Store Day (April 20) just got way more interesting to musicians and fans living around Nashville. As part of his duties as official Record Store Day ambassador in 2013, Jack White plans to open his Third Man Records location for people looking to create their own six-inch phonograph record.

The Third Man Record Booth is a restored 1947 Voice-o-Graph, the only public one remaining of its kind. Visitors will have the opportunity to pay for up to two minutes of recording time in the booth, as shown in a video posted by Third Man that features singer-songwriter/Raconteur Brendan Benson showing how one’s Record Store Day could potentially go if they chose to cut their own song.
