It’s a good day for the Echelon. Thirty Seconds To Mars world-premiered a lyric video for the second single, “Conquistador,” from their upcoming album, Love Lust Faith + Dreams.

Due to be released on May 21, their first single “Up In The Air” proved popular with its dance-heavy, intergalactic vibes.

However, in the lyric video a camera lowers in on the planet Earth while lyrics pummel across the screen through lightning-strewn clouds. The word “Conquistador” is an apt title for the bombastic blitzkreig-rock tune, an apocalyptic summons to something greater.

In an interview, frontman Jared Leto said that Thirty Seconds to Mars are “very excited” to release “Conquistador” because it is the “flipside” to “Up In The Air.”

“It is the dark wild child of ‘LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS.’ Unbridled, and full of anarchistic madness, this song is crushed full of passion + energy,” explained Leto. “It will surely become an important part of our upcoming shows.”
