As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis Claims Steroids Led To Murder Plot Against Wife

In the developing saga around As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis being accused of attempting to hire a hitman to kill his wife, the heavy metal singer is now claiming that steroids made him do it.

The revelation was made in Vista, Calif. Superior Court late last week, where Lambesis’ lawyer, Thomas Warwick, asked for the singer’s bail to be reduced from $3 million to $250,000, claiming he was unable to pay the full amount. Judge David Berry agreed on $2 million.

According to local newspaper U-T San Diego, Warwick also testified that Lambesis had become so into bodybuilding that he’d moved from taking nutritional supplements as a paid spokesman to full-blown steroid consumption, claiming that the singer’s “thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use.”

Lambesis “was not the same person,” Warwick added. “He was irritable and lost God.”

A forensic psychiatrist for the defense also testified that Lambesis was suffering from “roid rage.”
