Do Not Watch Cage The Elephant’s ‘Come A Little Closer’ While On Hallucinogens
Adorned in a North Pocono Trojans letterman jacket, Cage the Elephant lead singer Matt Shultz and crew interact with a trippy animated landscape wrought with freaky creatures and psychedelic backgrounds. Shultz finds himself in sliding down the throat and into the belly of a whale… floating away in a tub, turning into mysterious balls of fire, and that’s just the first minute of “Come A Little Closer.”
With characters dreamed up by Shultz, we do not recommend watching the Isaac Rentz directed video on hallucinogens. It could end up in a severe case of cold sweats.
Cage The Elephant is set to take the stage next month at the 24th Annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas, December 7, which will be webcast live in full.
The band’s third full length album, Melophobia, is available now.
