With Seattle’s NFL franchise the Seahawks gearing up to face the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl this Sunday (Feb. 2), one of the city’s biggest rock bands, Alice in Chains, is getting ready to hit the road for an extensive American tour.

The band kicks off their U.S. tour on April 25 in Tulsa, OK, making stops along the way in Houston, Atlantic City and Council Bluffs, IA.

The new dates will extend the band’s ongoing tour in support of its most recent release, 2013’s The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. The album was nominated for a GRAMMY this year in the Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical category, but lost out to Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories.

The group recently indulged the band’s charitable side, teaming up with nonprofit organization Music For Relief for their 5th annual “Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football League Charity Auction” to raise money for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

The auction, which recently ended, included such one-of-a-kind items as a guitar signed by Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong and the chance to sit with Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington at a New York Fashion Week runway show.
