Axl Rose Responds to Being Named The ‘World’s Greatest Singer’

Axl Rose was recently named the singer with the greatest vocal range, beating out Mariah CareyPrince and Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler, among others. But Axl Rose has a bone to pick with the honor bestowed upon him by the website ConcertHotels.com, mainly that it’s not deserved.

The Guns N’ Roses frontman reached out to Spin yesterday (May 28) to let fans know that the title was “very flattering and humbling” and to share his list of the world’s greatest singers. It wasn’t easy to come up with a list, as Axl explained. “If I had to say who I thought the best singers were, I’d say first that I don’t know there’s a definitive answer as in my opinion it’s subjective, and second that my focus is primarily rock singers,” he explained.
