Bruce Springsteen nabbed three GRAMMY nominations Wednesday night, and the song that bears his name got two more. Meanwhile, “Springsteen” — the song by country singer Eric Church that name drops several Bruce classics — was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song.
He stands with Kanye West, Jay-Z, The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, fun., and Mumford & Sons as the six artists who have six nominations each, topping all other artists.
The long list of country nominees also included Taylor Swift, Ronnie Dunn, country supergroup The Time Jumpers, the Eli Young Band, Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown, and Jamey Johnson.
In fact, The Who will play NYC’s Madison Square Garden on the night of the nominations concert, leading us to believe the TV special will do a live broadcast from the concert.
The Who and Hunter Hays are also scheduled to perform during the live television special airing on CBS, December 5 at 10PM.
Adele joins other artists like Whitney Houston, the Backstreet Boys and N’Sync who have reached the milestone.
