Jack White’s now legendary 2014 headline performance at Bonnaroo is going vinyl.
As it’s wont to do, Bonnaroo will feature multiple extended jam sessions — deemed SuperJams — between many of its artists that combine the familiar with the unfamiliar when it rolls around this summer.
Wayne Coyne will be there with his Flaming Lips, and he wants your band to be there, too.
Bonnaroo will also feature performances from The Flaming Lips, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kaskade, Damon Albarn, Neutral Milk Hotel and many, many more.
Last year, Bonnaroo made a spectacle of their line-up announcement for an event they lovingly called BLAM— Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Megathon. This year they’re looking to take BLAM to the next level, a mega BLAM if you will.
When asked to describe the upcoming new album, Johnson laid it out quite succinctly: “All the love songs are for my wife. The break-up songs are for my friends.”
The Bonnaroo webcast includes headlining performances from Paul McCartney, the xx, The Lumineers, Edward Sharpe, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
