Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell has ambitions to create an EDM musical that he hopes will have a long run in Las Vegas.
Originally launched in Los Angeles back in 1997, Electric Daisy Carnival has grown into America’s premier EDM destination festival.
The original version of “You Make Me” can be found on Avicii’s debut album, ‘True,’ which also boasts hit singles “Hey Brother” and the Aloe Blacc/Mike Einziger-assisted breakout smash, “Wake Me Up.”
A quick perusal of the site’s “Hot Members” page turns up a 24-year-old female who “love to raves, been doing it since 2010. If you don’t love EDM, this isn’t going to work out,” she says. “Looking for a boyfriend, not a hookup.”
Featuring superstar DJs Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, Swedish House Mafia was an immediate success, helping initiate the current EDM craze with worldwide smash hits from the group’s debut single, “One (Your Name)” in 2010 to its last, 2012 blockbuster “Don’t You Worry Child.”
“It was about building this bridge between our two worlds and doing it in an organic way,” explained Aoki of the melding of rock and EDM in the new collaboration.
The clip’s message is a six-point plan aimed specifically at party-going ravers in regards to popular party drug MDMA, more commonly known as “Molly.”
