Jack White has made it very clear that he wants to work with Kanye West, but for some reason ‘Ye won’t return his calls. Perhaps this new cover will pique his interest.
This morning, Jack White stopped by Los Angeles station KROQ’s Kevin and Bean show for an interview and live performance on the Red Bull Soundstage. During the session, he discussed how he wrote a new song after listening to MC Lyte, he recalled Neil Young’s first visit to Third Man Records and revealed what the original title of his new album, Lazaretto, was going to be.
No modern rock star does eccentric as convincingly as Jack White — and so he delivers exactly what is expected with his video for “Lazaretto.”
There perhaps hasn’t been this much buzz surrounding a Jack White album in quite some time — and much of it has little to do with the music at hand.
Because, really, would we expect anything different?
Jack White is a man of his word.
First it was the announcement of a new album, so it’s no huge surprise that a tour would be soon to follow for Jack White. The world’s fastest record, however, will not be accompanied by the world’s fastest tour.
